Things I love about Hospitality

One of the many things I love about hospitality is a good meal. Everyone loves good food!    From time to time, if I'm honest the thought of figuring out what to serve can become overwhelming.  Does that keep you from opening your home?  I had a good mentor once tell me if you have Kool-Aid you can be a good host!  Say what?  Her point was if you can offer to get them something to drink, you can invite someone in.  It doesn't have to be extravagant or a full out 5 course meal.  Just be hospitable with what you have and He makes up the difference.    Another thing I love is the sharing of stories and experiences. When you gather together great stories naturally flow. From laughter to happy tears, they are the shining moments in any gathering. I also enjoy how people become more open and relaxed when enjoying hospitality together . Being together creates wonderful memories that can grow you closer together as friends. It's worth the effort and thought and a little bit of humility too.  Because everything wont be perfect, but that's most likely not why they came :)
